At the LadMeeting in Karlsruhe, there will be a LinuxSoundNight on Saturday, 15 Mar 2003. Who wants to show something? There was talk about doing a jam session in linux-audio-dev.

Instruments that I will bring for your/our playing pleasure:

Roland D-50 synthesizer
Novation Supernova II synthesizer
Korg M3r expander
Akai S2000 sampler (32MB RAM) + a couple of sampling CDs
Yamaha TX802 expander
Acoustic guitar (though I cannot really play it:-)
Glockenspiel :-), Claves, Shaker, Triangle(sp?), Chromatic harp, Tibetian(sp?) bells
12-channel mixer (ZKM might provide us with another one)
Tannoy Reveal active speaker pair
AKG C1000S microphone

Using part of this equipment (and a neat little HP plastic penguin) we made some funny noises during last year's LinuxTag :-). Hopefully we'll be able to somehow record what we do this year. -FrankNeumann

Playstation pad (I could also bring two pads for Beatmania or Tekken on a PSX emu.) --FrankBarknecht

very nice: PSX pad is my favorite instrument when it feeds galan... please bring both for 3 people galan jam (2 with a pad and 1 with a mouse) i hope you mean analog pad... i could bring my pad too if its necessary.. but it does not work on my laptop because its parport doesnt supply enough current.. --Torben Hohn

Doepfer modular synth (real analog, including analog freq shifter ;-)
A tiny analog synth (MFB Synth Lite) with built-in step sequenzer (only some fixed sequences, but may provide a cool background)
Maybe also a t.c.electronic reverb (M300, stereo, 48KHz) Since I travel by train, I hope I manage to carry all this stuff... -- Matthias Nagorni

I will bring

A semi-functioning Notebook. Does anyone know how to get more than 96M Ram working in a Compaq Pressario? It's not my own, but i am allowed to do anything with it for now, so i will try and make it somewhat usable for linux audio. Does anyone have an usb/pcmcia midi interface?
maybe my 5-string bass guitar.
maybe my Digitech Studio Quad. (FX) (since it could be used as a simple 4 channel mixer)
also some C real book(s).

Tobias Ulbricht (from Karlsruhe) said he'll bring his Yamaha E-Piano (actually, I'll transport it for him), so yes, something like that will be there. -- Frank Neumann

I can present some galan synths i made... i need some people who will help me and play the PSX pad. i could take them from the auditorium... but it would be nicer if the pad player had practised before :) -- Torben Hohn

cool.. you will be most likely controlling reso and cutoff of two filters... this is part of my current synth. but i will try to implement something more complicated with visual feedback... -- Torben Hohn

Okay, then I'll probably need to take the Dualshock-pad. Normally I control my Pd-patches with the pad and a fader box. --FrankBarknecht

I could show, how you can build very custom interfaces using PureData. As an example, I'd show a simple DJ-tool, where AlsaPlayer is remote-controlled by Pd which in turn is controlled by PSX-pad and the Faderbox for scratching and fading. --FrankBarknecht
